***IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards) DEADLINE APPROACHING
The 7th Annual IAMA's deadline is fast approaching; you have less than 2 weeks left to enter! IAMA promotes excellence in Acoustic Music Performance and Artistry. Acoustic artists in various genres can gain exciting radio and web exposure through this competition. Participating sponsors include D'Addario Strings, New Music Weekly, Loggins Promotion, AirplayAccess.com, Tanager Music Software (Songframe), Sonicbids.com, Broadjam.com, Acoustic Cafe Radio Show and XM Satellite Radio. Youtube and Soundcloud files are accepted online.
IAMA promotes excellence in Acoustic Music Performance and Artistry. Acoustic artists in various genres can gain exciting radio and web exposure through this competition. Participating sponsors include D'Addario Strings, New Music Weekly, Loggins Promotion, AirplayAccess.com, Tanager Music Software (Songframe), Broadjam.com, Acoustic Cafe Radio Show and XM Satellite Radio.
IAMA is open to all independent artists and labels. Unlike other music industry competitions, IAMA focuses on developing new markets for Acoustic artists, labels and with or without CD releases. Past years' winners include Liz Longley, The Refugees (USA), Kate Lush (Australia), Wayne Southards (USA), Larry Pattis (USA), Omega (Uganda), El McMeen, etc.
Win prizes in 8 different categories: Folk/Americana/Roots, AAA/Alternative, Instrumental, Open, Bluegrass, Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Group/Duo. There will also be an Overall Grand Prize winner awarded to the top winner worth over US$11,000, which includes radio promotion to over 250 radio stations in US and Canada. Winning songs will be heard on radio! Winners and runner-ups will be featured on our CD compilation. Also, we feature up to 10 different artists get featured and promoted on IAMA website every month, which provides a review, ratings, CD information and more. The sooner, you enter, the sooner you get featured!
Judging is based on excellence in music performance, songwriting/composition/song choice, Music Production and originality. (Please note that IAMA is a different competition from USA Songwriting Competition).

*Liz Longley (6th Annual IAMA Grand Prize Winner) had her winning song aired on Acoustic Cafe show. She also performed at the prestigious Newport Folk Festival on July 31, 2010. Legendary artists such as Bob Dylan and Joan Baez have performed at this festival in the past. Liz is also touring the US with noted singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor. She was featured on ABC TV. Acoustic Cafe radio show will air the current winners of IAMA in the month of October. It is available on 65 radio stations in North America as well as on it's site: www.acafe.com
*Michael Brandmeier (6th Annual IAMA, Best Male Artist) had his winning song "Falling Up" aired on Acoustic Cafe Radio show. Also, He had his song "Anymore" (Freedom) was featured on the summer season of Americas' Got Talent as well as Brian Williams's "NBC NEWS TONIGHT"
*Gary Procyshyn (6th Annual IAMA, Open/AOG Runner-up) had his song "21 Days" aired on Acoustic Cafe Radio Show.
*Melissa McLelland (6th Annual IAMA, Open/AOG Runner-up) had her song "Glenrio" aired on Acoustic Cafe Radio Show.
*Lucy Wainwright Roche (2008 USA Songwriting Competition, First Prize, Folk) had her song "Statesville" aired on Acoustic Cafe Radio Show.
*Darrell Scott (2005 USA Songwriting Competition First Prize, Country) was featured on the November issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine and had his songs aired on Acoustic Cafe radio show.
*Canadian band "The Trews" (6th Annual International Acoustic Music Awards winner for Best AAA/Alternative) is currently signed to Universal Records.
*Henhouse Prowlers (6th Annual IAMA, Best Bluegrass/Country winner) was featured on a PBS series soundtrack.
*Clare Burson (2004 USA Songwriting Competition Finalist) signed to Rounder Records, CD was released on September 14
*Kate Voegele (2005 First Prize Winner, Pop) is on tour with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks throughout the United States. Kate hit Top 10 on the Billboard Album charts last year. She was the youngest winner at that time.
