USA Songwriting Competition presented showcases at the famed Bluebird Café (on Thursday Oct 10, 2002 from 6.00pm ) and Wolfy's (on Saturday, Oct 12, 2002 from 8pm) at 2NMC (Nashville New Music Conference). Highlights include multi award winning singer/songwriter Leni Stern, Jaime Hannan, Lari White, Joe Nolan, Michael Johnathon (Popular Radio personality and singer-songwriter of "Woodsongs"), USA Songwriting Competition past winners Valerie DeLaCruz, Joel Cage and Rachel Sage. 2NMC & USA Songwriting Competition hosts the daily Acoustic Café all days during 2NMC. All music acts are welcomed to perform at Acoustic Café "MTV Unplugged" format. First-come, first-serve basis for performers. 

Eddie Phoon (event director, USA Songwriting Competition) was also a panelist at the daytime music conference at 2NMC. Times and dates of the panels will be announced in due course. The Nashville showcase comes on the heels of other high profile showcases at Eddie's Attic (in Atlanta, GA) Club Passim (in Boston, MA), including partnerships of the USA Songwriting Competition with companies such as Tonos.com, Guild Guitars/Fender Musical Instruments, Singer Magazine and Electronic Musician Magazine. 

About 2NMC
The Nashville New Music Conference (2NMC) presented their second annual conference Wednesday, October 9 - Sunday, October 13, 2002 in Nashville, TN. The five-day, four-night music showcase is for emerging artists of all genres. 

Daytime conference events will be held Thursday through Sunday, at The Ramada Inn & Conference Center - the official host hotel of 2NMC. Highlights of daytime events include: a trade show, technology forum, panel discussions, mentor sessions, keynote speakers and a studio tour of Nashville. Nighttime events, will be held in Nashville music venues, and will feature artist showcases featuring a wide variety genres including: Rock, Pop, R&B, Singer-Songwriter, Americana, Country and more. 2NMC is sponsored in part by: USA Songwriting Competition, Electronic Musician Magazine, Mix Magazine, On Stage Magazine and more.

USA Songwriting Competition promotes the excellence in songwriting. A&R representatives from Record labels such as Sony Music, Universal records, Warner/Reprise Records and Epic Records judge the songs in the competition. Supporting songwriters and bands. Winning songs get radio airplay, making USA Songwriting Competition the first songwriting competition to provide the winning songs radio airplay in any songwriting competition. In addition to the competition, it has been sponsoring showcases throughout the United States in cities such as Los Angeles, Nashville, Austin, Atlanta, Boston, Palm Beach (Florida) and New York.
