Guy Major

 

Hailing from Canada, Guy Major released his first full-length CD in February 2005. He has been a featured performer on CBC (Canada)'s 'Atlantic Airwaves' while it was being hosted by Natalie MacMaster (appearing along with Damnhait Doyle) in 1996, and went on to play the show on two other occasions with Nova Scotia band MacCrimmon's Revenge. 

Guy honed his musical craft by studying Jazz at St Francis Xavier University. He was part of the group "MacCrimmon's Revenge", which recorded 'The Ransom' at CBC Halifax in 1997, and played many shows including Celtic Colours (1997), the Vancouver Folk Festival (1998), and the Halifax Jazz Festival (2004).
